These baskets are super quick and easy to make, great for your trinkets and treats.

I used 3mm macrame cord for the pink basket, and the Cream version in the photo is Lion Brand Wool Ease Quick and thick yarn.

What you’ll need
3mm Macrame cord in your chosen colour.
5mm Crochet hook
Special Notes
The basket base starts with a chain and you’ll work into BOTH sides of the chain to make your first round. The basket can be made in any height, just keep completing rounds until it’s as tall as you want it to be then move to the last round to finish.
The Base is worked in continuous rounds with no slip stitch, the sides of the basket you’ll need to join and chain 1. I like to use the invisible join for baskets as it keeps your stitches lined up with no seam, if you prefer you can just slip stitch and chain 1, or just continue working in rounds until it’s as tall as you want it to be (just keep track of your starting position so that the basket is the same height all the way round.
To create the basket walls you will need to work in the Back Loop only for the first row. This allows the yarn to stand upright. It can be confusing to spot the back loop after the round of slip stitches so you may want to
mark this with a stitch marker.
